I have been unusually productive over the past weekend. I think I did somewhere around 6 paintings! I have been playing around with water colour a lot the past few days, and I must say I am having quite the splendid time with them! I am going to scan a bunch of work in next week if I can find the time. I took a quick snapshot of a ballpoint pen drawing I did the other day. The details may be difficult to see, the pen was originally blue, I changed the image to a grayscale for your better viewing pleasure.

Pértsy- Birdman 3.0
Here’s my final for a digital media assignment. The project was to create a unique designer toy as well as a limited edition print promoting your character. I named my character Pértsy, which I believe translates to hot peppers in Russian. It’s slang for “cool kids”.
The character and the poster were done entirely using Illustrator. This was my first attempt at using the gradient mesh tool, but I think I got a good handle on it. Click on the second image to enlarge it. The original dimensions were 8.5 by 11 inches, but I could see this being blown up to full poster size. I will probably end up reusing the scenery in this poster for the animation I am doing with Finlay Paterson.
