Borderline Artistic 1988
Mike Ellis was born on a sunny day in 1988 in Newmarket, Ontario. He enjoys a variety of mediums but leans towards the integration of analog and digital media. He is also a novice sculpture and installation artist. About to enter his thesis year at OCAD, he spends his time collecting things, especially comics, scraps of paper and bits of string. Who Loves the Sun?
The past few days have been great, I can’t believe how much I really missed seeing the sun! I felt like taking pictures today and went up to the attic. I’ve been drawing on a few walls in there and they are starting to take on quite the presence. The piece is actually quite large extends beyond both of these photos. My camera has a really bad viewfinder, so most of my best angles ended up blurry. I’ve been trying to get as many people on this project as possible and try to mesh all the styles together. Definitely a work in progress.
Here is a chalk pastel illustration I started working on tonight, still needs work though. (Yes, those are glow-in-the-dark lego ghosts! Yess!!)
