I just did an album cover for Pinback’s Too Many Shadows. It took me all day yesterday to make it in illustrator and I am pretty pleased by the results. It’s not the band’s actual cover, their original really sucks so I decided to revamp it a little for my Graphic Design class assignment.

The theme of this cover is related to a song on the album called “fortress”. As you can see there is a nice little fortress on a lonely mountain on the cover. The track listings on the back are supposed to look somewhat like a crossword puzzle, which is also drawn from a song on the album titled “Non-Photo Blue” with lyrics at one part which say “crosswords filled in non-photo blue”.
