AUDIO BLOOD MEDIA: Rebranding Project

Written by mikellis. Filed under Uncategorized. No comments.

I recently took on a project to help re-brand a friend’s PR and Promotion company named Audio Blood Media. Sari Delmar is the head of the company and I have been working with her to redevelop her logo and business cards. Now that those two are done, I will be working on her website to make it more professional. Since she serves the music industry, I have tried to cater to her audience as well as create a logo that can stand the test of time for 5 or more years.

Do You Know Where your Children Are?

This is a new editorial illustration I just completed. The printout I did of this image looked like shit… But it looks rather pleasant on screen. The article was about Brazilian youth who were forced into a violent future and an organization which plans to stop that transformation by teaching them art and music. My original illustration was a bit different, but I found the cropping of this version allows the illustration to really communicate its own message. There is also a teeny bit of quirkiness which I love..

Some Are Lakes

This is my first comic! It’s a 2 page mini-comic about coming back to the city with no real ambition to start a new year alone. There is no dialogue, the text is more or less supposed to be a narrative (or voice over, if you will). When I finished  the comic I was listening to “Some are Lakes” by Land of Talk, so I decided to name it after that song. I don’t know why… The chorus just reminds me of how I was feeling when I wrote the comic.

A New Year

I haven’t written at all over the break, due to unforseeable circumstances, I have been keeping a low profile over the winter holidays. I did however manage to put together some new ideas for products for GlassKids that will hopefully be available for purchase by spring. In all there are 4 skateboard decks and 3 t-shirts so far, enjoy!
